ABOUT GRUNSHAW PRODUCTIONS
From an early age, I’ve been captivated by the world of sound and technology. Born in the UK and now proudly calling Huntsville, TX home since 2010, my passion for audio started with creating radio shows instead of the mixtapes that were all the rage in the 80s and 90s. At just 8 years old, a tour of my local radio station solidified my lifelong love for audio and broadcast technology.
Throughout high school, I immersed myself in audio-visual projects, from managing sound for school plays and performances to spearheading the creation of a school radio station. This dedication led to an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience at a BBC radio station, where I explored every aspect of broadcasting—from live shows and news bulletins to website content creation.
In my early college years, I volunteered with a hospital radio station, learning the art of connecting with listeners through sound. At the same time, I honed my live sound skills by working with a local theater, where I managed audio for plays, musicals, and live performances. My studies in sound engineering and recording deepened my expertise, and I’ve never stopped furthering my education to stay at the forefront of advancements in audio-visual technology.
Since moving to Texas, I’ve continued to follow my passion. I run live sound for my church, bringing clarity and impact to every service. I’ve had the privilege of working on voiceovers and producing digital content for local companies, adding a professional polish to their branding. I’ve also provided live sound for public events, recorded and multitracked local artists, and launched multiple successful podcasts. My experience spans a broad spectrum of audio projects, from personal to professional, ensuring I deliver exceptional results every time.
With over 20 years of experience, I combine technical expertise with creative vision to bring sound to life. I’m committed to delivering high-quality audio solutions tailored to every client’s unique needs. Whether it’s live sound, podcast production, recording, or digital content creation, my goal is to ensure my clients are always thrilled with the results.

We needed a custom on-hold promotion that patients can listen to information about our clinic and services we offer. James did an excellent job at helping us pick the perfect music and then recording the content. He worked with us every step of the way. We love his British acent!
James has been a member of our church for 15+ years and has become very active in our media ministry. He has since progressed in his role, taking on the AV duties for the Contemporty Worship service. While James primarily runs our Front of House sound, he also ensure our Livestream is functional, switches cameras and troubleshoots any tech issue we have. We value his commitment and service to God.
We often hold events on the Huntsville Downtown Square, and needed some live PA and sound reinforcement. James was able to provide the necessary equipment and accomdate all of our musicians requiements. He worked with them to ensure they had what they needed and that the sound was perfect for the event. I wanted to start a Podcast based around my book, but I knew nothing about how to get started. James helped me every step of the way, from submitting the Podcast to major platofrms, to ruilding a landing page for my Podcast and recording and producing each episode.
